A 12-Country Tasting Festival Debuts at Mizner Park on Saturday
Passport to Pours takes over the Mizner Park Amphitheater on Saturday, October 3. You get an actual passport book, 12 country-inspired bar stops to stamp your way through, and 16 sample pours with general admission, plus live music between stops. Food is pay-as-you-go on a GA ticket; Business Class VIP adds a lounge, an open bar and complimentary food, and First Class walks in an hour early at 4 PM. General admission runs 5 to 10, and it's 21+ with a valid ID. First year for this one, so Saturday decides its reputation.

The Norton Is Free for Everyone on Saturday, and Fridays It Runs Till 10
Nuestra Cultura, the Norton's free Hispanic Heritage Month community day, runs Saturday, October 3 from 11 AM to 4 PM, with live salsa in the Great Hall, a mariachi set in the garden and pull-string piñatas for the kids. It's free for everyone that day, not just the West Palm residents who get in free on regular Saturdays. Every Friday night the museum also stays open until 10 for Art After Dark, when adult admission drops to $10. On the walls right now: Art & Independence: America at 250, Cursed Images and Chang Dai-chien, and Danielle Mckinney: Shelter closes Sunday, October 4. Regular admission is $18 and kids 12 and under are always free. Parking move for Saturday: the visitor lot across the street is free but limited, with free overflow at the Family Church lot. Any other day it's $3 an hour.

The Everglades Start at the End of Lee Road in Boynton Beach
The Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee refuge puts a flat, just-under-a-mile Marsh Trail and a 5.5-mile marked canoe trail on the western edge of Boynton Beach, and you might spot gators, turtles and wading birds along the canals. Bring your own canoe or kayak for the water, and note that the Cypress Swamp Boardwalk is closed until further notice (every other trail is open). A day pass is $10 per vehicle, walking or biking in is free, and the gates run 5 AM to 10 PM daily. Circle Sunday, October 11: entry is free that day for National Wildlife Refuge Week.

Boca Paddle is putting 19 pickleball courts and 6 padel courts, including a stadium court, on the former Ocean Breeze golf course at North Park, with a mix of indoor, covered and open-air play. The build-out includes a Farmer's Table restaurant and bar (open to walk-ins, no pass needed), saunas and cold plunges, locker rooms with showers, and a co-working space with phone booths. The banner on their site says opening this November.

The Neapolitan ragù in Casa Vera's Paccheri Ragù Napoletano ($32) cooks for eight hours, and the menu says so right next to the dish. That tells you most of what you need to know about this room. Bucatini cacio e pepe with Pecorino Romano DOP, rigatoni alla carbonara with crispy guanciale, and Roman-style pinse fermented for 48 hours are all on a menu built on Italian classics. "Cuciniamo con amore" - we cook with love - is the house line. Doors open at noon Thursday through Sunday and at 4 PM Monday through Wednesday.
