Kimberly is a Managing Director for Koolik Commercial at Compass. Her job, put simply: match the next cool thing to the South Florida space where it can actually work.

From New York City capital markets to the 561

Kimberly started at CBRE in New York City, analyzing real estate portfolios to decide what to buy and what to sell. Next came JLL's Debt and Equity Finance Group, one of the most active capital markets teams in the country. Her team there raised more than $3 billion in debt and equity on deals ranging from $5 million to $250 million.

After JLL, she originated construction, permanent and bridge loans for the U.S. branch of Helaba, a German bank. She joined Koolik Commercial in 2022 where she led the commercial division of the Koolik Group. Today she handles investment sales and leasing across every asset class in South Florida.

Why it matters if you're opening something

Most tenants only see the lease. Kimberly’s experience and background in real estate finance allows her to understand the entire deal and guide clients from both a landlord and tenant perspective. She also has strong relationships with many local landlords. For a new concept, that can be pivotal in determining rent numbers, tenant improvement allowances or simply whether you get the corner spot or the space behind the parking garage in a shopping center.
