Picture walking into the Mizner Park Amphitheater and getting handed a little passport book at the gate. For the next few hours, Mexico, Brazil, Japan and Ireland are all a few steps apart, every stop pours a drink inspired by its country, and your book gets a stamp at each one you visit. It's called Passport to Pours, it's happening Saturday, Oct. 3, and this is the first one ever.
Early-entry ticket holders walk in at 4 PM, everyone else at 5, and it all runs until 10. It's 21+ with a valid ID, and the ticket listing says spots are limited, so if your group chat has been going back and forth on Saturday plans, this might be the thing that settles it.
What It's Actually Like
The amphitheater turns into 12 country-themed bars: the USA, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Cuba, Spain, France, Italy, Germany, Ireland, Japan and Thailand. Each one pours a signature drink inspired by that country, whether that's a cocktail, a wine or a craft beer, and you pick your own route. Your passport comes with 16 sample pours to spend however you like, so you can hit all 12 countries and still circle back to your favorites. If you want a full drink after that, there are full bars on-site too.
A lot of the bars are run by names you already know. Kapow Noodle Bar is repping Japan, American Social has the USA, Lemongrass Asian Bistro has Thailand and Le Petit Parisien is handling France. Italy is coming from Campari Group, and Germany is in the hands of the American German Club of the Palm Beaches, which feels like exactly the right people for the job.
Food works a little differently. On a GA ticket it's pay-as-you-go, and the vendor list is long: Tacos Wey, Manka Empanadas, Papi Churro, Ramen Lab, Hibachi Wagon, Don Giuseppe's, That's Amore and Marlo's Roasted Corn are all on it. Between stops there's live music and cultural performances, plus local craft vendors if you want to shop between pours.
Pick Your Boarding Pass
Tickets are sold like airline seats, and the class you book decides when you walk in and what's included.
🎟️ Economy Class (GA): In at 5 with your passport book, all 12 countries and 16 sample pours.
🥂 Business Class (VIP): Also in at 5, plus a VIP lounge, an open bar and complimentary food, so the pay-as-you-go part is covered.
✈️ First Class (VIP): Everything VIP gets, plus early entry at 4 for an extra hour with shorter lines before the crowd shows up.
Bringing a designated driver? There's a cheaper non-drinker ticket, so your DD doesn't have to sit this one out.
The Insider Move
If you want the calmest version of this night, First Class is worth the upgrade. You get a full hour to work through the countries before the 5 PM crowd arrives. Going GA? Show up right at 5 and hit the countries you care about most first, since this is year one and nobody knows yet how the lines will move.
Parking is free in all four Mizner Park garages. Garages A and B are off Federal Highway at Fourth Street, C and D sit along Mizner Boulevard, and there's valet on-site if you'd rather skip the walk. Since this is a tasting event, the smartest ride might be Brightline. The Boca station is about a five-minute walk from the amphitheater, and booking through PassportToPours.com gets you 10% off your fare.
One more thing: leave the dog at home. The organizers ask that pets stay home, even though the whole festival is raising money for a dog rescue.
What People Are Saying
There are no reviews yet because this has never happened before, but the buildup has been hard to miss. Boca Magazine and Broward-ist have both previewed it, the Boca Raton Observer has it on its events page, Sunny 107.9 put it on its events calendar, and New Country 103.1 has been promoting it on social. Brightline even signed on as the official transportation partner. That's a lot of people betting on a first-year event, and Saturday is when we find out if they were right.
The Feel-Good Part
A portion of the proceeds goes to Rachel's Gate, a South Florida nonprofit that helps senior, hospice and special-needs dogs. So your Saturday plans double as a good deed.
