Happy Sunday, 561.

Labor Day lands tomorrow, and this issue is built for it: one more day at Rapids Water Park, a glowing jellyfish room across from the Pompano Pier, and a 14-seat wine room hidden inside a Boca brewery. One money note while you plan the fall: Brightline is running $15 one-way SMART fares on select off-peak Friday, Saturday and Sunday trains between the five South Florida stations, Boca Raton included. You have to book at least two hours ahead, buy by October 31, and finish the trip by November 1. It does not cover Orlando.

The glowing jellyfish room 25 minutes south of Boca

199 N OCEAN BLVD, POMPANO BEACH ยท DAILY 10-7 ยท $23, OR $21 FOR FL RESIDENTS MON-FRI

The Jellyfish Museum sits at 199 N Ocean Blvd, a short walk from the Pompano Beach Pier, and the AP picked it up in August as what the city and its founders believe is the first museum in the country devoted entirely to jellyfish. It keeps up to 25 species, with around 20 on display at any given time in backlit tanks, and it rotates the collection every six to eight months. General admission is $23. Florida residents pay $21, but only Monday through Friday, since there is no resident rate on Saturday or Sunday. Ages two and under are free. Doors are 10 am to 7 pm daily with last entry at 6:30. Two things that catch people: the guided tour fee is charged separately from admission, and tickets are non-refundable, though you can move your date free up to 24 hours out.

Lions out the windshield: the drive-through safari 50 minutes from Boca

2003 LION COUNTRY SAFARI RD, LOXAHATCHEE ยท DAILY 9:30-5:30 ยท AGES 10+ $54.99, AGES 3-9 $43.99, UNDER 3 FREE, PLUS TAX

Lion Country Safari is open every day of the year except Thanksgiving, holidays included, so it is one of the few big family days out that is actually running on Labor Day Monday. You drive your own car through the preserve and the last car is admitted at 4:30 pm. Check what you are driving before you go, because convertibles, motorcycles, soft-top Jeeps and low-clearance cars are not allowed through, and windows and sunroofs stay closed the whole way. The park is cashless, so bring a card. One note on the money: the Monday through Thursday rate of $50 and $39 plus tax excludes select holiday periods and special events, so Labor Day itself is unlikely to qualify. Go the following week instead if the price is the point.

Go Early ยท Boynton Beach

A mile and a half of boardwalk over a living wetland on Hagen Ranch Rd

12800 HAGEN RANCH RD, BOYNTON BEACH ยท BOARDWALK DAILY, SUNRISE TO SUNSET ยท FREE

Green Cay Nature Center & Wetlands runs about a mile and a half of elevated boardwalk over 100 acres of constructed wetland on Hagen Ranch Rd in Boynton, with wading birds working the shallows a few feet below the rail. It is not one long loop, it is a half-mile loop and a mile loop off a central spine, so walking the outer edges of both is roughly 1.2 miles. The whole thing is free and so is the parking. The boardwalk is open sunrise to sunset every day; the nature center and its live-animal exhibit room run Wednesday through Saturday, 9 am to 3 pm. You do not need to drive to the Everglades to see an alligator: the levee that cuts across the middle of the wetland is a known sunning spot, so watch the banks. Go at first light this week, less for the heat than the afternoon storms. No dogs, no bikes, no food on the boardwalk and no jogging, all posted. There is also utility work on Hagen Ranch Rd right now, so give yourself an extra ten minutes on a weekday morning.

Luke Bryan plays the amphitheatre off Sansburys Way on Saturday

ITHINK FINANCIAL AMPHITHEATRE, 601-7 SANSBURYS WAY, WEST PALM BEACH ยท SAT SEP 12, 7 PM

The Word On The Street tour hits the big West Palm amphitheatre at 7 pm Saturday, with Randall King, Lauren Watkins and Lanie Gardner opening, so 7 pm actually means something here. It anchors our full weekend plan, which is live now: a French bakery morning on Jog Rd in west Delray, a world-championship Neapolitan pie on Okeechobee Blvd, and a free drop-in sketching afternoon inside the Boca Raton Museum of Art. Tickets are on Ticketmaster, and the venue is mobile entry only, so download yours before you leave the house.

Sugar Hi's Mini Black and White Cake, cut open to show layers of vanilla cake, chocolate cake and marshmallow buttercream under half white and half chocolate icing

That is a black and white cookie, rebuilt as a cake. Rosh Hashanah pre-orders close this week.

3011 Yamato Rd A7, Boca Raton ยท Pickup Sept 10 to 12 ยท $16 challah to $90 platter

The Mini Black and White Cake stacks vanilla cake, chocolate cake and marshmallow buttercream under that icing and it serves 6 to 10. It sits on the High Holidays menu at Sugar Hi Boca in Regency Court at Woodfield, next to the round challah, rugelach, chocolate or birthday cake (!!) babka and Shana Tova platters.

Rosh Hashanah starts at sundown Friday. The round challah needs two days' notice and the rest of the menu at least one, so Wednesday, September 9 is the last day to order challah for Friday pickup. Pickup runs Thursday 9/10 through Saturday 9/12, pre-orders are final, and the kitchen is nut-free. Their tip, not ours: order two challahs and make French toast the next morning.

A hidden wine room just opened inside Prosperity Brewers

4160 NW 1ST AVE #21, BOCA RATON ยท WINE ROOM WED-SAT FROM 5:30PM ยท CLOSES 10:30 WED-THU, 11:30 FRI-SAT

The nanobrewery on NW 1st Ave in the ROC Urban warehouse district added the Prosperity Wine Room on August 26, and it is a separate room from the taproom with its own hours and fourteen seats total. The list is 100 wines under $100 spanning every major wine region, and 25 of those pour by the glass through a Coravin, which is how a room that size can open a serious bottle for one glass. Tastings run the first and third Wednesday of the month, 6 to 9 pm: six wines for $20 with a $10 credit toward any bottle featured that night. Note the taproom next door keeps different hours, so check which one you are actually going to before you drive over.
