Luke Bryan sat out all of 2025. No headline tour, no amphitheatre run, nothing. On Saturday night he is on stage off Sansburys Way in West Palm Beach, and that single booking gives the whole weekend its spine.

Build backward from 7 pm Saturday and the rest falls into place. A French bakery morning on Jog Road, a world championship pizza for lunch in West Palm, and an afternoon with a pencil in your hand inside the Boca museum. Two days, four stops, every address and price checked before we published this.

Friday or Saturday morning: Paneterie, Delray Beach

Paneterie sits in The Shoppes at Addison Place at 16950 N Jog Road, Suite 115, in west Delray Beach. It is a small family business, and the pastry comes out of the kitchen of chef Helene Cazemajou, whose name is on half the menu. Hours are Monday through Saturday, 8:30 am to 3 pm, closed Sundays. That means both Friday and Saturday work this weekend, which is more room than most bakeries give you.

Start with the specialty croissant at $4.50. The pistachio is the one reviewers keep coming back to, and the same $4.50 gets you chocolate almond, blueberry, or chocolate pistachio if you would rather. A plain butter croissant is $3 and the chocolate is $3.50. The cream puffs are $2.50 each and the case is stacked with lemon meringue tart at $6.90, mille-feuille at $7.50, and a chocolate entremet called Le Scandale at $8.90.

If you want something savory, the quiche Lorraine comes with a side salad for $11.90, and there is a gluten free vegetarian version at $13.50. The croque monsieur is $14.50, and for another $2.50 they will drop a fried egg on top and make it a croque madame. Coffee is locally roasted Oceana at $2.95, and a latte runs $3.50. Their macarons are $2.85 apiece, or $35 for a gift box of twelve if you are showing up somewhere and need to arrive with something.

Saturday lunch: 'O Munaciello, West Palm Beach

The Neapolitan pizzeria at 8170 Okeechobee Blvd, Suite 1, opened here in May, and it is the newest thing on this list by a wide margin. The dough rises for 48 hours before it goes into a wood fired oven, the tomatoes are San Marzano DOP, and the mozzarella is fior di latte.

The pie to order is the Carmine, which took Best of the Best at the 2022 pizza world championship in Las Vegas. It comes loaded with sausage, broccoli rabe, piennolo cherry tomatoes, stracciatella, fried eggplant, shaved parmesan and basil, and it is $27. If you want to judge a Neapolitan kitchen the honest way, the Margherita is $20 and the buffalo mozzarella version is $23. The Marinara, which has no cheese at all, is $16 and is the cheapest thing on the pizza list. At the top end, the Vesuvio comes with burrata and shaved fresh black truffle for $32.

Two things to know before you go. Saturday they open at noon, but Friday they do not open until 4 pm, so this is a Saturday lunch and a Friday dinner, not the other way around. And an 18 percent service charge goes on the check automatically, 20 percent for parties of six or more, so build that into the number in your head. They are closed Mondays.

Saturday afternoon: Sketching in the Galleries, Mizner Park

The Boca Raton Museum of Art runs Sketching in the Galleries on Saturday, September 12, from 11 am to 4 pm at 501 Plaza Real in Mizner Park. It is a drop in with no registration, it is open to all ages, and they hand you the drawing materials at the desk. You do not need to bring a thing.

It is free with museum admission, which is $16 for adults, $12 for seniors 65 and over, and free for anyone under 18. Members get in free. The museum is open 10 am to 5 pm on Saturday, so you have the full afternoon.

There is a lot on the walls right now. Modernisms: Art from the Manes Collection and TYPOE GRAN: Anatomy of a Practice both close October 11, so this is one of the last good windows for either. Exploring Jess: Beat Generation Visionary runs through December, and Drawing with Scissors, a collage show pulled from the permanent collection, is up into next year. Sketching a collage is a strange and very fun exercise, and that gallery is where we would start.

Saturday night: Luke Bryan at iTHINK Financial Amphitheatre

The Word On The Street tour lands at iTHINK Financial Amphitheatre, 601 Sansburys Way in West Palm Beach, on Saturday, September 12 at 7 pm. This is his first full run since he took 2025 off the road, and West Palm is one of the last stops before the tour wraps at the end of the month.

Randall King, Lauren Watkins and Lanie Gardner open, with DJ Rock on the bill, so 7 pm actually means something here. Tickets are on Ticketmaster. The venue sits west of downtown near the South Florida Fairgrounds, off I-95 at Forest Hill Boulevard, and the box office opens at noon on show days if you would rather pick up in person. It takes credit cards only.

The insider moves

Park free at Mizner Park. All four garages are no charge, and Garage A is the closest one to the museum. People circle for metered street parking on Plaza Real for twenty minutes when the garage is right there.

Bring the right pencils. The museum asks that you sketch with graphite and colored pencils only, and nothing can be carried on your back, so leave the backpack in the car. If you are an art student and want to bring your own pad, they allow up to 18 by 24 inches.

Go to Paneterie early. They lock the doors at 3 pm and the case thins out well before that, so a 9 am croissant is a different experience than a 2 pm one.

What people are saying

Paneterie has quietly become one of those places people drive past three closer bakeries to reach. Reviewers single out the pistachio croissant and the baguettes baked on site, and more than one mentions the staff by name. The shop also carries a Best of Florida bakery nod from 2024 on its own storefront and website.

'O Munaciello is new enough in West Palm that the review count is still small, but the early tone is consistent. People are relieved to have a genuine Neapolitan option this far north, and the one recurring gripe is that the 12 inch pies run pricier than the neighborhood average. Both things are true. Order the Carmine and decide for yourself.
