We planned your whole weekend this time, breakfast through the late show, and none of it is in the same zip code twice. Father’s Day lands on Sunday, so two of these double as dad moves. Addresses and hours included, as always.
🍳 Breakfast: Benny's on the Beach
Benny’s sits right on the Lake Worth Beach Pier, so your eggs show up with waves rolling under your feet. They open at 7am every day, and the pier fills fast on Father’s Day, so get there before 9. Insider move: eat at Benny’s and pier entry is free, just ask for the pass. 10 S Ocean Blvd, about 25 minutes up A1A from Boca.
🌮 Lunch: El Camino
El Camino in downtown Delray presses its corn tortillas from scratch every day and pours one of the deepest tequila lists in the county. Get the al pastor tacos and a guava-habanero margarita, and go between lunch and dinner to skip the line. Doors open at 11am, which slots it right between the beach and your afternoon plans. 15 NE 2nd Ave, just off Atlantic.
🎮 The activity: OtakuFest
South Florida’s biggest anime convention takes over the Palm Beach County Convention Center all weekend: cosplay contests, celebrity voice actors, and a full gaming hall. Saturday runs 10am to midnight, Sunday 10am to 8pm. Single-day passes are $33 to $150, the two-day weekend pass is $70,and kids 5 and under get in free with a paid adult. Bonus: it is a walk from the Brightline station, so dad does not have to drive. Yes, this counts as a Father’s Day plan for the right dad.
🎶 On the water: Guanabanas
Guanabanas in Jupiter is 100% open-air, on the water, and built around real banyan trees. The live music is free all weekend with no cover: Dead Ringer plays a rock and jam set Saturday 3 to 6pm, and Fat Produce, a Miami soul-jazz trio, takes the Sunday set 2 to 5pm. The kitchen is open 7 days from 11:30am, so grab a waterfront table and stay for dinner. 960 N Highway A1A, worth the drive every single time.
