There is a jewelry store on Federal Highway in Boca Raton that has a massive aquarium inside. That aquarium contains sharks, eels, and rays. And every Thursday at 4pm, you can walk in off the street and watch the team feed them - for free.
This is not a rumor. WPTV covered it. Boca Magazine covered it. TikTok went very much viral for it. Diamonds by Raymond Lee has one of the most unexpected attractions in Boca, and it's been sitting on Federal Highway this whole time.
The Setup
Diamonds by Raymond Lee is a high-end jewelry store. At some point, the decision was made to install a serious aquarium in the store - not a decorative tank with a few tropical fish, but a substantial setup housing sharks, eels, and rays. The kind of thing you'd see at an aquarium attraction, installed inside a retail store on Federal Highway in Boca.
Every Thursday at 4pm, the store feeds the animals. You can watch. It's completely free. You don't have to buy anything. You just walk in, watch, and walk out.
When and Where
- Where: Diamonds by Raymond Lee, 2801 N Federal Highway, Boca Raton
- When: Every Thursday at 4pm
- Cost: Free - just walk in
Why It Went Viral
The shark feeding at Diamonds by Raymond Lee is inherently shareable because it defies expectations at every level. Jewelry stores are supposed to be quiet, glass-cased, formal. This one has sharks. The juxtaposition is what makes people stop, film it, and send it to five friends. It's been covered by local TV news and Boca Magazine, and the TikTok coverage has drawn visitors from outside Boca specifically to see it.
It's also just a genuinely good free activity. You're not spending anything, you're watching something you'd normally only see at an aquarium, and you have a story to tell afterward.
The Move
This Thursday, 4pm, walk into Diamonds by Raymond Lee on Federal Highway. Text someone before you go so they can come with you. Film it. You will send the video to people who don't believe it's real. They will then want to go themselves.
This is exactly the kind of thing that makes Boca weird and great.
