The pargiot skewers come charred and spiced and nothing like what you’d expect from a strip mall restaurant at a suburban mall. Mamush Prime Kosher Grill opened at 5250 Town Center Circle earlier this year and it’s already drawing the kind of praise, from kosher food accounts with serious followings, that the Aventura restaurant scene gets and Boca rarely does.

Boca has one of the largest Jewish communities in South Florida, and the demand for Miami-caliber kosher dining in the 561 has been there for years. Mamush Prime is filling that gap. If you’ve been driving down 95 for a kosher dinner, you can stop.

What You’re Getting Into

The menu is Mediterranean-Israeli - think pargiot skewers, Prime Cut Ribeye, full spreads of apps and dips to start. The restaurant is ORB certified kosher. The room is upscale casual: worth dressing for, not intimidating.

Start with the spreads and the pargiot - spiced half-chicken skewers. The Prime Cut Ribeye is the centerpiece and worth ordering on a first visit. A full bar is available. Note that Friday and Saturday are both closed, so plan your visit for Sunday through Thursday.

The Insider Move

Make a reservation - don’t walk in and hope for the best, especially Tuesday through Thursday evenings. Sunday through Thursday the kitchen runs until 11pm. The Town Center mall parking is easy and the restaurant is in Suite 143, southwest section of the property. Worth noting: Friday and Saturday are closed, so weeknight dinners or a lazy Sunday lunch are your windows.
