There's a smash burger spot on State Road 7 in Boca that locals found first. It's called The Boca Smash, it's at 19345 SR7, and @martyeatsall already posted about it. Now you know.

What a Smash Burger Actually Is

In case you need the refresher: smash burgers are made by pressing a ball of loose ground beef directly onto a hot flat-top griddle and smashing it flat. The result is maximum surface contact with the heat, which creates deeply caramelized edges and a crispy crust on the patty that you don't get from a traditionally formed burger. Thin patties, stacked if you want doubles or triples, served fast.

When it's done right, the crunch when you bite through the crust is the whole experience. The Boca Smash does it right.

Where and How to Get It

  • Where: 19345 State Road 7, Boca Raton
  • Delivery: Also available on DoorDash and UberEats

SR7 is more accessible than people give it credit for. If you live in West Boca or anywhere along the 441 corridor, this is closer than you think.

The @martyeatsall Signal

When a respected local food creator puts a spot on their feed, it's a signal worth paying attention to. @martyeatsall covers South Florida with the kind of specificity that filters out the noise. If The Boca Smash made the cut, the burger is doing what it's supposed to do.

Why Now

There are a lot of smash burger concepts in South Florida right now - it's a format that has more than proven itself nationally. What makes a local version worth your attention is the execution. The caramelized edge, the quality of the beef, the structural integrity of the bun when it's loaded. The Boca Smash is getting the right kind of early attention, which usually means the execution is there.

Go on a weekend. Order at least a double. See what SR7 has been hiding.
