This year the fireworks are right over the water, they are free, and they cap off America's 250th birthday. Boca's Fabulous Fourth lands on Saturday, July 4 at Countess de Hoernle Park and the Spanish River Athletic Facility, 1000 Spanish River Blvd, with a 20-minute fireworks finale at 9:10pm. For Boca families, this is the hometown option that does not ask you to drive out of the city, fight a beach crowd, or pay for a thing. You bring a chair, you pick your spot on the grass, and the city handles the rest.

What the Night Looks Like

The Fabulous Finale runs from 6:30 to 9:30pm at Countess de Hoernle Park. Jinx opens the night at 6:15pm, Friday @ Five takes the stage at 7:30pm, and the evening builds to a 20-minute fireworks spectacular over the water at 9:10pm. It is free to attend, food trucks and vendors are on-site if you want dinner without packing it, and you are welcome to spread out with blankets and lawn chairs. Bring a reusable water bottle too, since the city runs a free filtered-water station on-site.

If you want to earn the evening, there is a morning bookend for the runners. The Firecracker 5K at FAU starts at 7:15am, costs $40, and comes with a commemorative shirt, a finisher medal, and post-race snacks. It is capped at the first 1,000 registered runners, and there is no race-day registration, so you sign up ahead or you miss it. Race in the morning, rest through the afternoon heat, and come back for fireworks at night, all inside Boca.

The Insider Move

Park at the Boca Raton Innovation Campus (BRiC) and skip the scramble for a spot near the park. From the BRiC lot it is a quick 5 to 7 minute walk along the Liberty Trail, a festive route lined with America 250 trivia, so the walk is part of the fun rather than a slog. If you would rather ride, the complimentary shuttle runs from 6:30pm through the end of the night. Either way, getting there early lets you stake out a good patch of grass before the park fills in for the 9:10pm show.

Why Boca Keeps Showing Up

This is not a new event trying to find its footing. Boca's Fourth of July celebration was first held in 1958 at Memorial Park, and it has grown over the decades into one of South Florida's most beloved community traditions. In 2026, as the country marks its 250th birthday, the city has leaned in with a full day of events, from the sunrise 5K to the waterfront fireworks finale. A free, hometown fireworks night with that kind of history behind it is exactly the sort of thing that fills the park year after year.
