Rosalia's Botanical Cafe, the final Delray GreenMarket of the season, and Cruiser Palooza at Old School Square on May 16 — three solid reasons to get out of the house this weekend.
Delray GreenMarket - Last Day of the Season (Saturday at Old School Square)
May 16 is the final Saturday of the Delray GreenMarket season. After this week it doesn't come back until fall. Local produce, fresh pastries, honey, plants, live music at Old School Square. The kind of Saturday morning that makes you feel like a person who has their life together.
It's a Delray institution and the last chance until October to go. Worth making the trip if you haven't been this season.
Sunday Brunch at Rosalia's Botanical Cafe
If you haven't made it to Rosalia's yet, this Sunday is a good excuse. Tucked into a strip on State Road 7 (20423 FL-7, Suite F9), it's the kind of place that immediately makes sense once you're in it - botanical drinks, artisan desserts, a gorgeous aesthetic, and a staff that actually seems to care. Open every day 8am to 6pm.
The specialty latte menu is the main event. Standouts include the Coconut Rose Latte, Bouquet Latte (lavender, rose, and violet), Honey Pistachio Latte, Chocolate Lavender Latte, and the Dubai Latte. If you want something more classic, the house blend drip and cappuccino are both solid. Pastries and artisan desserts round it out - the menu rotates seasonally so there's usually something new.
Kosher options available. Order ahead on their site to skip the line.
16th Annual Cruiser Palooza Music & Arts Festival (Saturday, May 16 at Old School Square Pavilion)
Same day, same neighborhood - after the GreenMarket wraps, Delray's got more going on. The 16th Annual Cruiser Palooza Music & Arts Festival takes over Old School Square Pavilion on May 16 from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM. This one's a charity event supporting The Cruisey Baby Initiative, a nonprofit founded by Cruise Bogle to help individuals living with spinal cord injuries.
Music, arts, and a genuinely good cause - the kind of Saturday night that earns the Saturday morning. Tickets available at downtowndelraybeach.com.
